In his last year playing for Downey High School, varsity water polo Co-Captain Angel Espinoza, 12, shares how it felt to win his last rivalry game with a score of 17-2 against the Warren Bears on September 27, 2022, at the Warren High School pool. “It felt pretty good. It was our last one and I feel like towards the end when we put all the seniors in together it felt pretty nice” Espinoza explains. “It was like a bittersweet moment since it was our last one but it was good that we won it”.
