Sofia Basulto, Writer
Beginning her second year as a part of the Downey Legend staff, Junior Sofia Basulto is excited to continue writing and sharing stories about events on campus. Outside of being a part of The Downey Legend, Basulto is involved in a variety of different extracurriculars, such as being a long time Girl Scout as well as the ASB Junior Treasurer. Basulto sees herself as an understanding, kind person who is fun and outgoing once you get to know her. After High school Basulto plans to attend a 4 year University within California, or her dream school NYU, where she hopes to pursue a potential career in the entertainment field as well as journalism. Looking into the near future, the second year writer sees herself doing well academically and breaking out of her comfort zone as the 2023 school year unfolds.
“Writing has always been a really big thing for me,” Basulto said. “Whether it's writing throughout my day or having so many thoughts I like writing it out”.
