With a love for fashion and photography, senior, Marcos Reyes, dreams to become a fashion photographer. “I want to be a fashion photographer because I love how, you as the photographer, get to be so creative in the images,” Reyes said. “Fashion and photography will allow me to see the amazing creativity that I can contribute to the industry and let my work be seen by millions of people.

Throughout the competition, Fernanda Ramos, 12, was overwhelmed with preparations necessary for the State competitions. “Practicing my part of my presentation was difficult since I kept forgetting my part,” Ramos said, “but at the end It was all worth it since I got create memories with friends and at the end the hard work paid off.”

During the Q & A, Johana Hernandez, the Creator of Glaudi’s, talks about her inspirations to create a certain clothing piece and what she tries to do for her clients. “When designing, I think about them [students] as celebrities,” Hernandez said. “We have a dress for every girl and I get inspired by each and every girl. It’s always about who’s wearing it.”

On Nov. 12, At Designer Con, Victoria Most, an animator for Coraline, expresses how important it is to find your own and unique style. “For me as an artist, style changes over the years,” Most said. “At first, I copied other artists, and felt like I’m not good enough to be in this industry, but my professor in college told me that it just takes time to develop a style and that style changes over time and may not be the same years later.”

Ready for her debut on the cosplay contest, Ashley Lopez, a veteran cosplayer, talks about her experience with her hobby. “I actually built these costumes [Thor and Loki] over the past two years; this [Thor] one is the one I’m debuting today,” Lopez said. “This is my fifth convention and my third time cosplaying. Today, I’m actually excited for the cosplay contest because it’s my first time participating.”

As the fall starts rolling in, Tyler Rivera-Whitt’s, 12, favorite clothing piece of the fall season is a basic t-shirts because of how versatile and simple a t-shirt is. “ I love how I can wear a basic shirt and still have a crisp look to my outfit,” Rivera-Whitt said. “T-shirts are so affordable and it just looks so effortless that anyone can rock a basic t-shirt.”
