Two organizers were in charge of putting together the Arcana based event and even collaborated with the actual game developers; among the pair Dirk Flowers said, “It’s definitely stressful but extremely rewarding!” Flowers continued, “I worked myself a ton coordinating it, making and testing menu items, doing the menu art, managing social media posts, and juggling a lot of prep and orders the day of, but it was entirely worth it. In Downey High School, we have a lot of outgoing and loud people, not noticing the quiet ones at times. Leanna Bobadilla, 10, has joined the Downey Legend newspaper as a photographer. Seeing photography as a great form of art, Bobadilla hopes to one day graduate and go to art school, and get one step closer to her dream of being a graphic design artist.
Art means something different to Bobadilla, it is what she sees in her future. “It’s a good way to express what you’re feeling without necessarily having to say anything,” Bobadilla stated. “It’s just fun to see what you’re capable of creating, even if it isn’t always up to your expectations.”
