On Mar. 3, 2015, Scott Mescudi, known as his stage name Kid Cudi, dropped his unreleased track “love.,” from his previous album Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon, to his fans on SoundCloud. The Cleveland rapper previously announced his upcoming work on Man on the Moon 3 in February, leaving his 1.1 million Twitter followers around the world astonished when he tweeted a link to this unexpected track. The song is a five-minute combination of his soft lullaby voice, a relaxed melody and emotional yet inspirational lyrics produced by Dot Da Genius and Mescudi himself; “love.” has already reached a total of 31.6 thousand likes on SoundCloud. The lyrics consist of Mescudi pouring his heart out to fans as well as positive words of encouragement such as “Don’t be so down, come on young homie, you’ll be okay, you’ll find real love/ all of the stories, the hero gets lonely/ now is the time to show what you’re made of.” Mescudi let the song out to the public with a positive message of “For you. Hope it brings you some peace if you have a lonely heart out there.” As fans anxiously wait for the release of MOTM3, this single will suffice.
