Starbucks released its new spring menu on March 3, bringing seasonal drinks and a new rewards system for customers. With these new drinks and rewards, many people are wondering if the spring menu is actually worth trying this year and if the new rewards system is something that will be better for customers in the future.
One of the biggest changes this spring is the update to Starbuck’s rewards. The new system includes different tiers, green, gold, and reserve. This goes from lowest to highest, you get put in a tier by how many stars you earn per year. Each level comes with its own benefits, such as special offers and drinks. All members are given Free Mod Mondays, which allows customers to add extras, such as cold foam or flavored syrups for free.
This year’s spring menu includes new seasonal drinks like lavender-flavored beverages and a new ube cold form. The Iced Lavender Matcha has classic syrup, and a subtle hint of lavender. “I actually am obsessed with the lavender matcha, it’s different and it’s not too sweet,” Lizette De Lara stated. Everyone has been talking about the Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato, most people aren’t quite sure what to make of it. It’s an espresso with toasted coconut syrup and an ube coconut cold form. “This drink sounded good, but it wasn’t what I expected.it’s kind of an acquired taste.” Steve Lopez stated.
The new changes from Starbucks seem to offer more options and rewards for customers, especially those who visit on a daily basis. The seasonal drinks can be fun and trendy and seem to be worth it. While the updated rewards system gives people more chances to earn perks. However some customers may feel like it takes too many purchases to reach the top tier. Whether the spring menu is worth it depends if you enjoy lavender-flavored drinks. The new rewards system depends on how often you go to Starbucks.
