
Paramount comes to our home to play league game 2 of 2 against our Downey boys varsity soccer team. On Tuesday, January 27th, at 6:12 pm, the game marked halftime, and the field was getting intense between the two teams. Downey High School’s team pulled through on defense, winning with a total of 1-0 against Paramount High School.

At Allen Stadium, Downey and Paramount High School go head-to-head for the boys varsity league game. On January 27th, senior player Omar Vargas pushes through, and Paramount can’t keep up with our Viking. Vargas shares, “I appreciate his team, you know, we always keep tabs on one another, which makes me motivated to push.” Which definitely strives for how the maintains the ball so well at a fast pace.

At Downey High School, the boys varsity soccer team faces Paramount High School in game 2 of 2 for the league. Previously at Paramount’s home, our Downey Vikings defeated them with a total of 2-1. Tuesday, January 27th, at 5:00 pm, both teams carried a competitive game, and many calls were close. However, Downey carried through till the very end. Our Varsity team pushed and won with a total of 1-0.
