
At Downey High School, Rivalry spirit week takes upon the whole campus. Downey High
School’s ASB pulled through Thursday night, October 23rd and continued Friday morning,
October 24th. ASB president, Mia Ledezma shares, “I love this year’s poster work and I hope
our efforts bring excitement and joy to the student body” Downey High school’s ASB carried our
viking nation to encouragement in our rivalry football game.

At Downey High School, ASB continued to set up for our Rivalry week against Warren High
School. Friday, October 24th, ASB students showed up at 5am to complete their set up and final
touches to amuse the student body. ASB student, Elsa Caidez shares “I’m definitely exhausted
from last night and this morning, but seeing the looks on students faces when walking on
campus will be worth it” Chaidez expresses her cheerfulness while finishing up hanging the
posters with her fellow peers.

difficult, but being my last year here, it brings me a bittersweet feeling, and I’m glad I’m part of
such a big event” Nova couldn’t have worded it better for the upper classmen.

win against Warren High School. ASB was beginning their last final touches around 7:40am
October 24th. ASB student Isaiah shared, “I was a bit overwhelmed but as I’m close to finishing
up I’m really proud of the way things turned out and to show school spirit” Downey High
