Do you have any shoes you no longer wear? Do you have any shoes that are still in wearable condition? Do you want to help out people in need? If so, participate in Link Crew’s ongoing shoe drive!
Link Crew is asking for shoe donations that meet the following criteria: lightly worn with the soles still attached, no holes, in good condition, and still wearable. Please refrain from bringing shoes with the following descriptions: no soles that are falling off, no broken heels or broken parts, no mismatched pairs, and those that are no longer wearable.
Donating shoes is such a helpful act even if you don’t think it is. Sometimes it’s not realized but having shoes is a privilege to have. So when donating, you are helping someone in need.
Link leaders explain why they think it’s a good idea to donate:
Dayami Briseno, 11, said, “ I think it’s a good idea [to donate] because shoes are going to people in need.”
Palak Patel, 11, said: “ It’s a good way to help out your community to donate and service.”
The shoe has only been going on for a bit and over 100 shoes have been donated! This shoe drive is still going on so clean out those closets and donate to the ongoing shoe drive until March 1st!
