Writing Center Promo

Downey High School provides a writing center to help students with their English and Writing work.

Starting in February after school select Downey High School juniors and seniors, who applied will participate in a student—tutoring program to assist sophomores with their writing skills.  This program, officially known as the writing lab, has fallen under the supervision of English teachers: Ms. Stratford, Mrs. Carlson, and Mrs. Bean.

The Halloween spirit is filling the air at Downey High as teachers join the spooky spirit by starting their first annual “You’ve been booed” event, during the last week of October. The booed teaches received a gift, and in return had to send two gifts to others of their choice, so the chain continued from there.
