Tender Loving Care

Downey High School’s ASB member, Kristiana Cruz, has made it her goal to bring awareness to TLC from March 1 to March 18, in order to help those in need. “We have faith in the students at Downey High School,” Cruz said. “If each student brought in just $10, we would actually exceed our goal of $40,000.”

From Jan. 28 to Feb. 8, students and staff members of Downey High donate jeans to help aid homeless teens in America. Their goal was to beat last year’s record of collecting 2,055 jeans.

During the months of October and November, the members of Key Club at Downey High School raise money for UNICEF, called Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, to support Iodine deficiency and HIV/AIDS programs worldwide. With their efforts, the club successfully raised over a thousand dollars.
