The Snack Pep Rally at Downey High School was held to bring excitement and school spirit for
the first home football game. On September 5, the Downey Dance Team performed with energy
and pride, helping unite the students and cheer on the Vikings for the football game later that
evening. “I hope we take the win,” Taylor Jones says with excitement.

Destiny Gallardo is a junior in newspaper. This is her first year she is also on the dance team. Destiny joined the dance freshman year. She plans on going to UC Santa Cruz. She plans to be a therapist or an ultrasound technician. Destiny is a very caring person and is willing to help others.
