After 7 years, from the Starboy album by Canadian artist Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, professionally known as The Weeknd, released a new remix of Die For You featuring American artist Ariana Grande. The remix was released through Republic Recorders, the label behind both artists, on February 24, 2023.

The Die For You (Remix) marks their 4th collaboration after Love Me Harder, Off the Table, and Save Your Tears (Remix). The remix brought over 71% of the votes to Billboard’s Fave New Music.

Brittney Nunez, 11, a student in Future Teachers of America, has been a fan for over 8 years and has had the opportunity to experience The Weeknd live at SoFi stadium.

“The remix was everything I expected, her voice really complimented, his voice, and the lyrics really completed his song,” says Nunez “and the live performance was beautiful. It really made me feel like I was back at the concert. I have actually been to 2 of his concerts, I hope I get to see him again in the summer because it was a beautiful experience, he really knows how to put on a show.”

Brittany Estrada, 11, can relate to most of The Weeknd’s songs and has also been to several of his concerts.

“The song is amazing, I love how all my friends tell me when they listen to The Weeknd they think about me right away and we all loved when Ariana Grande collabs with The Weeknd because they right away become a hit.” Estrada said. “I have been to The Weekend’s concert about 3 times already. The feeling of being in the stadium is magical because his music has everyone in a great mood and has everyone dancing and singing along.”

The Weeknd and Ariana Grande’s fans made the “Die For You (Remix)” bound from No. 6 to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 like “Save Your Tears” in 2021. The new remix has fans very pleased and they can’t wait to see the next collaboration.
