Jahzelle Ford, Writer
Writer Jahzelle Ford, 12, is new to newspaper this year. Last year, she realized how much she enjoyed writing through essays and poetry. Ford has a calm presence, but is both artistic and creative. During her free time, she enjoys drawing and painting, revealing her artistic side. Ford shares a passion for making music with her friends, with a goal of starting a folk punk band. Her overall purpose is to educate people on the issues facing the world. She believes people need to be informed of current events.
After high school, Ford hopes to continue her education at a community college, and then go on to pursue a career in teaching, literature, or art. “I like writing because it is an easy outlet,” Ford said. “It’s a way of letting people into your own little world without coming face to face.”
