Diana Curiel Bueno, Illustrator
Coming back to her second year of being a part of The Downey Legend as a Comic artist, Diana Curiel Bueno, 12, enjoys drawing and going to the gym. She joined as a comic artist because of her interest in drawing and how this is a whole new world and way to express herself. Curiel really enjoys having her own creative freedom being able to write and photograph about anything that interests her. Her future plans include becoming a forensic pathologist, going to a university or college, and graduating with CSF.
“For me, newspaper was like a whole new world where I can be aware of my environment, ” Curiel explained “In newspaper, there is no right or wrong; I can report about the world around me.”
