Junior Bryan Fernandez joined The Downey Legend as Co-Photo Editor during the peak of his high school career, as he thought it would be a good idea to get involved with the school’s newspaper and to meet new friends along the way.

 

As a staff member of The Downey Legend, Fernandez has an opportunity to work with and improve on one of his greatest passions: photography.  He first picked up a camera out of curiosity when he was in middle school. He wanted to a have a hobby that he was truly passionate about. After experimenting with photography, he realized he had found it.

 

“I like being behind the camera rather than in front of it, because I feel more in control,” the aspiring photographer said.

 

In addition to photography, Fernandez enjoys traveling, blogging, reading, and watching Angels’ baseball games. Although photography plays a major role in his life, he is undecided about his future career but works hard and strives to gain acceptance into a UC or Cal State University.
