Angelica Aragon, Writer
First year staff member Angelica Aragon, 12, joins the Downey Legend as a writer in hopes of being able to share her interest in writing. Aragon hopes to use her interest in writing to be able to share other people’s stories and express their thoughts and words for them in a way in which they maybe can’t. She believes that her position will get her to express her own style of writing and is looking forward to using it in order to write her college essays. With her struggle with ADHD, she states that patience will be a skill that is needed to do her best as a writer. Her future goals after high school include going to a university and studying either pharmaceuticals and toxicology. Despite her busy schedule with academics, she is a very outspoken person who loves to make jokes and be around people.
“Writing has always been a passion of mine and I see it as an escape for me to let out my feelings.” Angelica stated. “To be able to write and let the words flow makes me feel very powerful.”
