Color Guard athlete and podcaster Rikki Velasquez, 10, joins the Downey Legend staff for her first year with big ambitions. Against all odds, she’s reached her passion and plans to fulfill them, and hopes to improve not only her work but also herself. She hopes she can further know herself to improve her skills. As a podcaster, she plans on breaking the silence and aspires to create a comfortable and entertaining environment for the audience and special guests. In the future, she aims to achieve an amazing education at a four-year university and become a second-generation college graduate. She is still discovering what she wants to major in but hopes to achieve these goals and many more for her next 2 years at Downey High School while setting an amazing example for her peers as a Downey Legend Podcaster.
