In order to dive into a new network of people and make connections, Madeline Hidalgo, 10, joins The Downey Legend as a podcaster. Hidalgo labels herself as an extrovert, and she makes sure to include her friends and family in all of her endeavors--ranging from practicing volleyball to including them in conversations. Committed to her academic success, Hidalgo hopes to maintain a high GPA and set herself up to attend Yale University. Outside of class, Hidalgo is an avid member of both Eco Club and Youth For Change where she can speak her mind and hear the perspectives of others.

As an open person, Madeline is in her element as a podcaster for The Downey Legend. “I applied to be a part of The Downey Legend in order to expand myself as a person. I love talking to new people, and I wanted to kind of open new doors and look for more interests,” Hidalgo revealed. “I could talk forever on a podcast and I can’t wait to contribute and get to work on stuff that I like.”
