First year writer, Maribel Magdaleno, 10, has joined newspaper in hopes of becoming a successful writer and trying something new. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys staying after school to help assist her teachers, joins clubs, community service, babysits, and hangs out with her friends. For her college career, she plans to study in the medical field and potentially become a nurse/RN.

As someone ho enjoys expressing her creativity through writing, Magdaleno believes, “Writing helps me express and better understand my emotions; the trials and tribulations of life”. “It’s a passion”, Magdaleno states. “It’s truly the only way I can detox and replenish my mind through something I can look back on and understand that point in my life”.
