First-year Andrea Figueroa Ortiz,12, has joined Downey Legend this year as a videographer. When she was younger, she said she used to edit videos, so that’s one of the main reasons she was interested in pursuing videography. She plays instruments like the piano and drums. She’s also interested in playing a new instrument, but not guitar, because it hurts her fingers. Outside of The Downey Legend, she’s involved in VNS, which is the school’s broadcasting news channel. Her top school she wants to go to after graduating is Cal State Long Beach. Some of her main interests in studying are Law, nursing programs, and production. “I think everyone should try the art of recording and editing videos, especially if you have a lot of creativity.” Andrea said,” I love listening to songs and thinking about what edits and transitions I can do and how to produce it.”
