Joana Cruz, 12, enters her first year in a newspaper excited to join the Downey Legend’s social media. Her creative interest in pursuing architecture or interior design, swayed her to apply to the social media team. Her same interest also swayed her to join Femineers. Outside of school, she enjoys romance shows, collecting stickers, and bedazzling things with gems. She plans to attend CSLB or Cal Poly Pomona and become a licensed contractor. 

“I really love social media because it gives the ability to escape reality,” Cruz said, “A lot of people may disagree but sometimes a person needs a break from all pressures of reality.”
