Q1. How did the quote of the day begin?
A1. I thought it would be a nice way to start the day with a positive and inspirational quote.
Q2: How long have you been doing this for the morning announcements?
A2: I began thinking about doing something like this last year, but I started in September.
Q3: Where do you get your quotes?
A3: I get them from the Internet or a quote book. At times, I do have students come up to me and tell me some.
Q4: How do you apply the quote of the day to your life?
A4: It depends on the quote; however, usually I try to use the quote for that day. For example, if the quote is on being more tolerant, I will try to be more tolerant that day.
Q5: What is your favorite quote?
A5: “If you can dream it, you can do it. Always remember that this whole thing was started with a dream and a mouse.” – Walt Disney.

After high school, Dominguez plans on going to a state college in California and then hopes to transfer to a UC college after a couple of years. She aims to work in the Behavioral Analyst Unit for the FBI, where she can question criminals and learn more about their thoughts. She is preparing for this by studying Psychology, and she is also taking Sociology and Philosophy. Another dream of hers is to open a humane animal shelter with plenty of play areas and no metal cages. In the meantime, Dominguez hopes to express her writing skills through The Downey Legend and enjoy her last year at Downey High.
