Preparing for a special annual event, Downey High School students are getting the school pumped up at the stage during snack, by hosting their yearly pep rally for the Dig Pink volleyball game. The volleyball players are ready to finally compete against their rival, Warren High School, but there’s  more importance to the game besides just winning. The volleyball players are playing to honor those who have fought and are continuing to fight the battle against breast cancer. To further create awareness for this occasion, the athletes, dance team, cheer team, and many other individuals are spreading their viking pride by wearing pink.
