On February 10, 2023, the boys varsity basketball team competed in a CIF playoff game in the Downey High School Gymnasium where they, unfortunately, lost the game with a score of 40-54. The boy’s had an amazing season this year, with a record of 26-4, and although it may not have ended with the outcome that was hoped, the team is very proud of their performance this year and are grateful for the successful final season of their high school years.

Earning yet another victory over Warren, the Downey High Girls Varsity Basketball Team defeated the Bears 50-25 on January 27, 2023. After this win, the lady vikes continue the season with a 18-8 record.

Earning another win, the Downey High School football team took on Camarillo on November 11, 2022, at the Allen Layne Stadium for CIF Quarterfinals with a score of 31-28. With this win, the Downey Vikings now have a 10-2 record for this year.
