Cheer seniors were celebrated at Downey High School on September 19 at Senior Night. This event honored their commitment throughout the years on the team.

Destiny Gallardo is a junior in newspaper. This is her first year she is also on the dance team. Destiny joined the dance freshman year. She plans on going to UC Santa Cruz. She plans to be a therapist or an ultrasound technician. Destiny is a very caring person and is willing to help others. “As long as I know that I have God within me, I know there gonna be peace around,” Gallardo stated.
