After Zayn Malik left One Direction, the remaining 4 boys were able to create one last album before they went their separate ways in January 2016. Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, both went under the radar, while Niall Horan went on to create music. Harry Styles, in particular, has caught the eye of fans the most in these early months of 2017. Although he had not made any music or released anything new in 2016, his fans were able to keep track of his actions and what he is planning.

 

Dunkirk

World War II film, Dunkirk, by Christopher Nolan stars the former One Direction Singer, Harry Styles. Although he is not seen in the first trailer that was released, fans were able to leak pictures of Harry Styles in costume and on set. Later on, a second trailer was shown and Styles was spotted multiple times, getting fans excited for the release of the movie. Seeing Styles in a movie is something fans are excited for, because of his lack of appearances in the press.

 

Solo Music

On March 28, during the Season 12 semi-finals of The Voice, Harry Styles released his trailer for the solo music he’s coming out with. His first single, “Sign of The Times”, is being released April 7, and will be debuted, April 15, on Saturday Night Live. Fans have been anticipating solo music from Styles for quite some time now. Even throughout the One Direction years, fans believed Harry Styles would break out just like Justin Timberlake did in the Backstreet Boys.

 

Another Man Magazine November 2016 issue

The September Issue of AnOther Man Magazine helped Harry Styles celebrate his new independence. The issue contained an interview with Harry Styles, conducted by Paul McCartney, about what the One Direction years were like, also includes Styles’s strangest fan encounters, and tips for surviving the fame.

 

Little Princess Trust

On May 6, 2016, Harry Styles posted a photo on instagram, of him holding a ponytail with the  caption, “Whoops. #LittlePrincessTrust”. Many fans did not know how to feel about this sudden trim, but others were very fond of it. The charity Styles had donated to, Little Princess Trust, provides real wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have lost their own hair due to cancer treatments and other illnesses. If you do not reach the guidelines to donate hair, you can also donate money, help fundraise, or just help spread the word about the cause.
