On Fri., May 1, one of the most anticipated movies of 2015, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, the sequel to Marvel’s Avengers (2012), premiered in theaters.

This action-packed movie focuses on how the Earth’s mightiest heroes, the Avengers, must learn to work together in order to beat their enemy, Ultron.

Actors Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo play Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, the resident scientists in the superhero group, create Ultron (voiced by James Spader) an artificial intelligence that desires to placate Earth by destroying humanity.

Once the other Avengers Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) identify how Ultron was created, they become infuriated with Tony and Bruce, which, eventually, causes their bonded relationship to fall apart.

As the movie continues, the twin siblings, Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), who work for Ultron come to the understanding that he plans to destroy mankind. Although the twins manipulated the Avengers, in the beginning, they decide to join the superhero team, in order to defeat Ultron.

So far, Avengers: Age of Ultron has earned over $1.1 billion dollars in the box office and is still going strong. It received an 8.3/10 rating from IMDb and a 74% rating from Rotten Tomatoes. Critics are saying that it is a “satisfying sequel.” The movie ends with a cliffhanger, similar to all the other Marvel movies. Although the concept of saving humanity is common, Avengers: Age of Ultron displays a new approach to the conflict.
